Of all the natural resources in our world, perhaps the most
important is water. However, here in Colorado, water is scarce (it
is also one of the least plentiful).
Each year we look to the beautiful snowy peaks of the Rocky
Mountains to supply much of the water we will need for drinking,
agriculture, business and landscaping (watering our lawns).
With Colorados booming population, there are many questions
raised about the future of our water, including where new supplies
will come from, conservation, and how we can keep our water
clean.
At 7News, the meteorologists in the 24/7 Weather Center hope that
our "Colorado's Water- Headwaters of the West" program will help
answer these questions, and enable our viewers to better understand
the many issues that surround this precious natural resource.
